BÄCKEREI TERUTAKE
A small German bakery
in Fujimino, Saitama
PHOTO

Hello.
We're a small German bakery just outside Tokyo, in the quiet town of Fujimino, Saitama.
The shop is run by Terutake, a Japanese baker who fell in love with German bread, trained for years in Tokyo under a master baker, and once spent half a year living in England before opening this small shop in 2018.
We bake real German rye breads every day — the slow, honest kind, made with our own sourdough.
If you're already heading to Kawagoe (Koedo), we're just three stops away on the same Tobu Tojo line. Please drop in. Even if you don't speak Japanese, we'll happily figure it out together — bread is a universal language, after all.
